Welcome to Cleveland Holloway!

You've seen our blog, now you can get acquainted with our wiki!

We were successful! The land transfers have been rescinded. Both parcels were put out for a public upset bid process beginning September 7, 2007. The Dillard St. parcel (.66 acres) has been appraised at $158,000. The Roxboro/Elliott parcel has just been appraised at $300,000. The bids, however, do NOT need to be for the appraised value. See the "Documents" link to the left for more information on the bidding process. UPDATE: Initial bids were received and will be reviewed by the City Council on 10/4. After that time, there will be an "upset" process whereby people may choose to bid 15% higher than the highest qualified bid. More on this soon.

Right now, homes in Cleveland-Holloway tend to be priced under $50K, varying
depending on the owner and/or condition of the home. Check your favorite real
estate listings and enter "27701" for a sampling of homes available.

We are also arranging tours of the neighborhood! If you are interested, email us at clevelandholloway@gmail.com. You will find many historic homes badly in need of care, at affordable prices. The proximity to downtown, current neighbors, and old historic homes
make this a desirable location for the non-suburbanists (new word to describe potential inhabitants of C-H).
